Generally speaking, I'm not a fan of lawyers.  I am a fan of law enforcement, especially those officers who have the balls to singularly risk confronting someone carrying (as opposed to hiding behind a bush or under a bridge with a radar gun).  Nevertheless, I got a kick out of this.

Gun Massacres & the Inner City Afflicted

I'm not a flag waving NRA gun freak.  I am a member and have been labeled a freak, but I don't wave a flag.  This guy has great perspective and succinctly states his point.  He'll undoubtedly be labeled an Uncle Tom or a white apologist, but those labels won't diminish the facts.

E Tu, Barak?

On a day when we dubiously celebrate a backstabbing that changed the world, this guy's image comes to mind.  At least Brutus and his fellow conspirators were sneaky about it.

Conclave Vs Congress

Am I the only one who sees similarities between the Catholic Conclave and the Unites States Congress?

Both are an elitist group of privileged selectees who hide behind locked doors to determine policies that affect hundreds of millions of people and then shamelessly blow smoke to celebrate their dubious accomplishments while trying to convince their "followers" that their decisions were in their best interest.

Rock On, Economy!

What a dilemma the President finds himself in.  Only a week ago he droned (no pun intended) on about how America would suffer as a direct result of the evil Republicans' sequestration policy.  Mr. Obama forgot (and a compliant media failed to remind him) that sequestration was his idea in the first place.  I know I posted this video clip a week ago, but it's important to remember the President's words; especially since he himself can't seem to.  A couple of minutes into his whine, Mr Obama blames all of America's future woes on the sequester.  At least he's no longer blaming Bush.  But I digress.

There is good news here that the President fails to mention.  The economy appears to be rocking.  Jobs are beginning to look better; at least for those Americans still willing to actually work for a living.  Also, the stock market recorded near record highs this week.  The irony for the President is that he can't take credit for all this good news because he and his minions shamelessly predicted nothing but instantaneous doom and gloom for weeks before the sequester hit.

If we actually realistically look at the events of the past few weeks, the irony of the President's dilemma becomes clear.  The sequestration process dictated that Congress and the President cooperatively act to deliver a balanced approach to cutting the American deficit.  This "balance" was to be achieved through increased taxes and budgetary entitlement cuts.  In January of this year, the President increased taxes on the American people to the tune of 650 billion dollars.  Despite his promise that middle and low income Americans would not see their paychecks diminished, every single American who works for above the table pay got taxed and brought home less money beginning with their first paycheck in January.  This is a fact.  Half of the balanced approach had been achieved.  The President succeeded in raising taxes on everyone in the country.  The other half of the balanced approach would come from budget cuts.

It would, except it didn't.  The President refused to hold up his end of the bargain when he refused to even propose, much less make any budgetary cuts.  Congress gave him unprecedented authority to pick and choose where to make cuts that would cause the least amount of pain to the American people and to the economy.  Any true leader would jump at the chance.  But, America elected a Marxist community organizer who has never held a real job and unfortunately, leadership requires a more qualified resume.  Again I digress.  Obama chose an anti-leadership role and simply refused to take action and hold up his end of the bargain.  The President refused to lead. The reason is simple; accountability.  The President does not want to be on the hook for cutting programs and entitlements, no matter how frivolous they may be.  The result?  The President's lack of action might have actually caused a spike in the economy.  When Obama kept his hands out of things, things got better.  Many (especially in the media) will disagree and float a plethora of other reasons, all of which give credit to the President's policies.  Why wouldn't they?  I mean after all, why face facts?

Wherefore Are Thou, Ammo?

Tried to by gun ammunition lately?  Buying at usual retail locations like WalMart, Bass Pro, and Academy is almost impossible.  Buying in gun stores and at shooting ranges is not much easier. Rationing is the order of the day and most only allow one box per buyer.  It's reminiscent of gasoline in the 1970's.

There is hope though; at least if you're the Federal government.  In the last ten months, the US government has purchased two BILLION rounds of ammo for non-military applications.  Although conspiracy theories abound, I won't bother to ask the question why.

It will get better. The Obama Administration's policies of restricting the flow of arms and ammo across state lines is already unraveling.  Several manufacturers have announced intentions to move their entire operations to Texas.  They don't have to ship across state boundaries to reach their largest customer base, Texans enjoy the liberty of pursuing and attaining personal security, and the State of Texas enjoys the tax revenue.  Everybody wins!  Well, everybody except the criminals.  What's more, in a symbolic thumbing of their noses at Obama and out of control liberal state legislators, hundreds of firearm and ammo manufacturers has refused to ship product to state agencies in states that restrict public use of their products.

These positive changes will take time.  Be patient and use practice ammo sparingly.  Most importantly, be prepared.  Your government prefers you dial 911 and wait for the police to arrive.  In 2012, the Dallas Police Department average priority one call response time was 12 minutes.  By comparison, my Federal 9mm 124 grain Hydra-Shockrounds can travel 1,070 feet per second within 75 feet.

It's your family.  It's your life.  It's your stuff.  You make your choice.  I've made mine.

America is STILL Here!

Remember this show?  Most don't.  I barely do.  It was a poorly written and overly dramatic attempt at earth loving, eco-Nazi indoctrination loosely disguised as a prime time TV show.

Remember this dog food?  It was essentially an unscientific mixture of intestines, blood, pus, tumors, and animal (including dog and cat) carcasses ground up and presented into a neat package purported to be a healthy part of your dog's nutrition.

What do you get when you put these failed ideas together?

Sequestration!

A self aggrandizing and preachy doomsday prepper reaction, forced upon us as a result of a failed fiscal policy of entitlement and class warfare.

Given the alarmist position the Obama administration played out over the last few weeks regarding the mandated budget changes, the end of America as we know it seemed more likely than it did with the Mayan calendar, asteroids, and the year 2000 combined.  It would all be amusing if it weren't so sad.

Less intellectually endowed Americans were led to believe that drastic cuts were to be imposed, starting today if Congress didn't essentially give the President additional tax hikes.  Felons would be released from prison, air traffic controllers and U.S. border agents would be furlowed, teacher positions would be sliced, cops would be pulled of the street, dogs and cats would live in harmony.  Oh, the humanity!  What's more, Obama took every opportunity to blame Congress for a program HE signed into law and defended vehemently.  Listen to his words at about two minutes into the video below. Try to contain yourself as he predicts the future and takes preemptive action to blame the undoubtedly upcoming economic problems on the sequester.

What Obama and his minions failed to admit was that there are actually no budget cuts.  There are simply fewer increases in their future budgets.  Let's say you earn $50,000 salary and with that, you manage to pay all your bills and can afford to put your child in a private school.  You are told your salary will increase to $75,000 based on a new promotion you earned.  Then, your boss comes to you and tells you that due to budgetary reasons, your new salary will only be $70,000.  Would you then decide you can no longer afford to keep your child in private school?  Of course not.  This is the game the Obama administration is playing with the American people.  Additionally sad is the mainstream media's complete complaisance with the lies being told.  Fortunately, many Americans are smarter than the President gave them credit for, even if they demonstrated otherwise by voting for him (again).  But I digress.

Let's consider the draconian job cuts we were told would be forced upon our critical government agencies.  We're told Air Traffic Controllers would be cut, causing air traffic to stack up and yielding a ripple effect across various industries.  The Department of Transportation has over 60,000 employees ranging from executives to janitorial staff.  If we equate the priority of Air Traffic Controllers' salaries to the priority of our child's private school costs, then we can equate the janitorial staff salaries to say, our cable bill.  If I have a choice where to spend a finite amount of funds, my child's education is my priority.  I can wait a few months for my HBO movies to show up on Netflix.  The only reason I would sacrifice my child's education is if I had some twisted hidden agenda.  I'm not knocking janitors here.  I'm simply stating that some positions are more essential to the daily operation of our country than others.

And just what is a furlow?  It isn't a firing.  In government employee terms, a furlow means an employee will take one unpaid Friday off per month.  Career employees with years on the dole actually have massive amounts - literally months - of paid sick time to which they could apply these furlow dates if they wanted to.  Of course, not every government employee has a stockpile of sick time.  For those who don't, why not divert some of the tax dollars spent on robotic squirrels, shrimp on treadmills, ketchup viscosity studies, and support given to foreign countries who publicly vow to destroy America and spend it on our mission essential personnel?  It's a moot question because like global warming, it's a bullshit problem.

Fear not, America!  As I type, our government is meeting to avert the looming disasters we've been threatened with for the last month.  Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John Boehner, and if he can get off the links in time, perhaps even President Obama himself are set to hammer out a solution.   I guess the fact that these same "leaders" have had 18 months to deal with this issue is one that we're supposed to ignore.

I am but one of many who say let sequestration happen.  When Americans wake up the day after and realize the world is still here, maybe even those who were naive enough to buy into the Obama administration's fear mongering and threats will realize they've been had, much like Chantecler's barnyard counterparts.  Cock-a-doodle-do, America.  It's time to wake up.
